Resonance Records founder Max Chapman returns to his imprint in a cavernous collaboration alongside Azz! Johnston.

Following on from his lauded debut album, which received glowing reviews from the likes of DJ Mag and Mixmag, Max Chapman’s 2016 has commenced in spectacular fashion. His Resonance Records imprint, which can boast a discography including Dale Howard, DJ W!ld, wAFF and Alexis Raphael, has also reached a formidable momentum and now welcomes Sunderland-based producer Azz! Johnston to the roster for five thunderous cuts.

The first five tracks, ‘Vortex’ boasts a spoken word sample reiterating its title whilst shuffling percussion and groove-led bass operate throughout. ‘All I Want’ then sees an eruption of low-end rumbling with a female vocal added into the recipe. ‘The Way’ is then more low-slung in nature whilst throwing heady melodies into the mix, before the aptly titled ‘Hypnotise’ lays down some mesmerising aesthetics. Finally, ‘So Deep’ concludes proceedings with a heads down techy roller.
